The Life of the Rio Grande

Academic & Policy-Maker Field Seminar. Starting at the headwaters of the Rio Grande in the Weminuche Wilderness of Colorado we will follow and study its course into and through New Mexico and into Texas.

Goals of the Seminar
• Participants will gain a better understanding and appreciation of the Rio Grande's dynamics.
• Participants will be involved in measuring the volume of flow, water quality testing, and invertebrate sampling.
• Participants will study and survey the historical, cultural, agricultural, and recreational aspects/impacts.
